Got my gc 300 from the rob on the best fox call stand at the British shooting show this year. Great guy by the way. Got home stuck in the batteries and headed out to put it to the test. Set up in the field I sat back and waited for the caller to work its magic. 10 mins later I was bolt upright and had the rifle in my shoulder.. Charlie had come in like a freight train and was on top of me before I could even get ready for him. I had to stop the caller to get him to stop for the shot. Drop him on the spot at 125 yards.

As we sat and chatted about how good the call was we gave a flick of the lamp and boom number 2 was sitting out at about 250 yards running and getting closer. Stopped the call to see what he would do. Within a few mins it turned and headed back across the field. I hit the button for the cotton tail distress call and stopped it in its tracks. It turned and started to jog in towards the call. All the time my mate had the cross on him . Follow follow and then he when the caller went into its pause between cycles of calling the vixen stopped and took a 55g sleeping pill . Number 2 and we hadn’t even been out an hour.

It has been the same nearly every time I have been out. Only we didn’t get a fox was when the battery ran out in the remote 🙁 lesson learned. Alway carry spare battery’s for both caller and remote.. remote. Works out to 300 yards easy with line of sight. Can’t ask for a better addition to you fox shooting kit.
